Switching, dimming – simply
There are various operating top units for manual light control in the Gira switch ranges. In addition to classic rocker, button, and series switches, various inserts for dimming lights are available for convenient lighting control.
Switching
The series switch can be used to switch on or off two lights or light series, for example, independently of each other.
In addition to the usual switches, Gira rocker switches and rocker buttons are also available with large tactile symbols for the light, bell and door. They make life easier for blind people, or people with impaired eyesight.
If the light is switched on or off, the pressed rocker locks in place in the respective position.
The Gira series control switch with integrated LED lighting element is equipped with one LED lighting element in orange per rocker.
What happens if you hear a suspicious noise at night? No need to worry – the panic switch is within reach.
All previously defined devices – such as individual lights, lighting rails and entire circuits – can be switched off with a central command.
The Gira RCCB with residual current protection monitors connected devices and interrupts the power supply within milliseconds before residual current can become hazardous.
Pressing
Each time the lighting is switched on and off, the button moves back to its initial position.
The rocker button is used as a light signal, bell or door opener.
Lighting moods are the interaction of selected lights with coordinated light intensities.
Gira wireless wall transmitters can be positioned exactly where you want and need them.
Lights that are to be switched on or off at the same time daily can be controlled automatically with the electronic timer.
The ZigBee® Light Link wireless wall transmitter from Gira allows smart lighting systems such as Philips Hue and Osram Lightify to be controlled simply and conveniently using ZigBee® Light Link.
Up to 24 lights or light groups can be directly switched and dimmed independently of one another using the wireless hand-held transmitter Komfort.
Dimming
A brief touch switches the light on or off. Pressing it for longer dims the light continuously.
The rotary dimmer switches and dims light sources such as lightbulbs, HV halogen lamps, LV halogen lamps with Gira Tronic transformers or LV halogen lamps with conventional transformers.
A light touch is all that’s needed to operate the Gira Touchdimmer as it uses capacitive sensor technology.
The Gira series dimmer is a touch dimmer that allows the user to control two lights or light groups independently of each other.
The Gira compensation module LED enables the operation of dimmable HV LED lamps in conjunction with Gira Universal or Tronic dimmers. It improves the dimming behaviour and prevents flickering and afterglow in dimmable HV LED lamps.
The Gira System 2000 universal LED dimming insert can be used to switch and dim light bulbs, HV halogen lamps, HV LED and compact fluorescent lamps. It can be combined with various operating top units and enables individual adjustment of the switch-on brightness and the operation of other auxiliary units.
